Choose a pet through Pets

Open Pets in the lobby and read the purchase panel for the animal you want. Dog, Pig, and Cow appeared in September 2026 pet menus. Read the card currently offered to your account before choosing.

Check the currency as well as the amount. Dog and Pig were Gem purchases in that September flow. Cow Pet has a Roblox Game Pass listing, so read the Robux purchase prompt for that product if you choose it. Read any carry, selling, or upgrade details on that product's own panel.

After a purchase, find the pet in your own pet menu before going into a chapter. If you are already looking at a pet you own, continue to Equip instead of making another purchase. Pet Cosmetics is for accessories; return to Pets when you want the animal itself.

The October 1, 2026 shop allowed gifting the Cow pet, but not its Robux skins. Read the exact item's current gift option; the animal and its appearance are separate products.

Equip before starting the chapter

Select the pet in your menu and choose Equip before entering a chapter. The September 2026 setup allowed one equipped pet at a time, so buying both Dog and Cow did not make both work together. Use Unequip in the Dog's menu to remove it, or select another pet and check its Equip state for the next run.

Pig's digging ability automatically collected exposed Gems under the October 2, 2026 rule. It did not increase the map's spawned Gem allowance. Watch it work around the hay, collect a Gem, and check your balance; Hard Mode is one place to observe it. Prospector's direct bonus is separate from these pickups, and Prospector does not automatically collect exposed map Gems. The class guide explains its role.

If you already have a Cow, keep it and try the October 1, 2026 farming setup before buying a Pig. Compare its work and your manual Gem pickups with the change you want from Pig's automatic collection before spending on another animal.

Check work before buying levels

Give the Dog a chance to complete a collection and selling trip. It fills its mouth with hay, carries the load to the selling point, and returns to collect again. Watch its load increase while it collects.

Under the September 26, 2026 pet setup, Cow collected hay and sold it where it stood, while Dog carried its load back to the selling point. Compare the animals' levels and accessories when judging their work; another player's Cash per second is not a guaranteed return from a new pet.

If the pet is missing when you are preparing a run, first check your pet menu and Equip state. With a Dog that is present but apparently idle, watch the hay and selling route before treating a slow trip as a failed purchase.

Check the Dog's carrying stat when judging its load. Your own bag limit describes your character's storage. When comparing Dogs, account for their levels; an upgraded Dog can carry a different load from a new one.

Read the next pet upgrade

Open the selected pet's upgrade menu. For the Cow, return to the lobby and use its own panel rather than the chapter's Cash tool menu. Read the current level, next cost, currency, and displayed stat changes. After buying, compare the level and stats.

Choose an upgrade for the work you observed, such as carrying or trip speed. Account for levels already bought when comparing another player's pet. Later levels can have different costs, so read the next offer each time. The currency guide separates pet spending from Cash upgrades for the Hand, Pitchfork, and Vacuum.

Keep the pet, its accessories, and skins separate

Pet Cosmetics appears beside Pets in the older lobby flow. Buying a hat or accessory does not equip the animal for you. Equip the pet, then open its pet screen and choose Edit to equip the accessory you bought. This October 2, 2026 route puts the accessory on your pet.

Read the description for the exact accessory or skin you are choosing. Some older hats displayed stat bonuses. That does not give every later skin the same bonus, price, or restock rule.

Pet skins are cosmetic as of October 2, 2026. For a stat bonus, read the accessory's stated effect; the weekly Trophy below applies its bonus when equipped on the pet.

The October 1, 2026 skins update introduced these appearances:

Open the specific pet's current skin menu to check the offer. A skin's name does not give you the animal or establish its current price.

Read an accessory's current description before counting its bonus. These September and October examples applied to the pet wearing the item:

Traffic Cone's capacity and Grab bonuses differ from Hay Crown's selling-value bonus. Choose for your pet's work; the Dog comparison did not rank Traffic Cone first for every animal.

Players could see different Pet Cosmetics stock in the same hour in the September 2026 shop. Check your own available items at the refresh rather than expecting another player's stock to appear on your account.

If a purchased hat is missing, open the pet's Edit screen, select the accessory, and look at the pet to confirm it is worn.

The September 2026 setup allowed three different cosmetics on one pet and one purchase of each item per account. Its chest setup kept one Shaggy; a duplicate awarded currency instead of another copy. Read the duplicate result and check the named balance before counting the reward as Gems.

Find a weekly Trophy for your pet

The numbered Trophy accessory comes from placing on a weekly leaderboard as of October 2, 2026. When equipped, it gives a percentage bonus to all stats on that pet. Read the Trophy you received for its bonus and use the pet's Edit screen to equip it.

LB is short for leaderboard. Look near the lobby spawn for the leaderboards between Classes and the upgrade area. Scroll the board and switch from All Time to Weekly when checking your weekly position. Check the relevant week's reward before expecting a Trophy; an All Time position is a different view.

Hay collected by your pet or Drone counts toward your own Hay leaderboard total under the September 2026 rule. Use that total for a hay-collection goal; a chapter's completion time belongs to a different board.

The September 27, 2026 Time leaderboard did not display that rank above the character. Check the board itself for a Ranch Time result; a weekly Trophy and a rank beside your name are different displays.

Under the September 26, 2026 weekly rule, players tied on a Time leaderboard received the Trophy for the highest rank assigned to that time. You still needed a qualifying Weekly position at the end of the week. Check the board and week when matching a Trophy to your result.

Track Index notices while you search

Watch for New index discovery and read the item name. In the September 27, 2026 interface, Index was a tab below the upgrades; use its current label to inspect discovered and missing entries if the layout has moved.

Discoveries could occur in any mode, and hay collected by pets or Drones counted. Rainbow appeared in a discovery notice while a Dog worked. The September Index also included Wet alongside Normal and Rainbow; read your missing entries rather than using an old percentage to predict when they will appear.

Void hay appeared randomly and awarded 1,000 Gems under the September 26 rule. Gems for new discoveries were added automatically in September. Keep the discovery name with the reward message and check the balance; finding the same item again does not establish another discovery reward.

Under the October 2 rule, completing the Index earned the Hay Crown. Keep searching for missing entries until the Index is complete. One discovery or a cleared haystack does not prove that you have found every entry.
