Sell hay for Cash to buy ordinary tools and upgrades. Pick up Gems, finish chapters, or claim eligible rewards to pay for class rolls, pets, and lobby stat upgrades.
Identify the balance before earning or spending
The October 4, 2026 update log listed Weekend Multipliers and Random 2x Cash Events in Chapters. It did not specify weekend start times, Gem or Luck rates, stacking rules, or which Cash actions receive the event bonus. Read an active event’s displayed terms before changing your budget; the announcement alone does not establish a Gem bonus or a permanent Cash multiplier.
| Resource | How to obtain it | Main use |
|---|---|---|
| Cash | Sell collected hay at the chapter's selling point. | Ordinary tools, bag upgrades, and tool attributes. |
| Gems | Collect exposed Gems, finish chapters, or claim eligible offers. | Classes, pets, and items in the Gems shop. |
| Chroma Coins | Complete rounds during the Chroma event. | Rolls of the limited-time event chest. |
| Alien Coins | Complete games during the September 2026 Alien event. | The Alien Chest during that event. |
| Clan Tokens | Complete the Clan panel's qualifying quests. | Clan rewards, with their own requirements. |
| Robux | Use a Roblox purchase option. | Gem bundles or the specific paid product offered. |
Match the currency beside a price to your balance. Hay in your bag is not Cash yet, and Cash cannot cover a Gems purchase. Informal names such as coins or diamonds can refer to different resources.
Under the October 1, 2026 rule, earned Gems remain when you leave a round, even before finding the Needle. This covers Gems already received; leaving early does not earn the completion reward. Cash is the round-only exception in the September 12 retention rule. If a connection or server incident loses a balance, use the problem checks and record the amount and last action.
Sell hay to receive Cash
Collect hay into your bag, then take it to the selling point. In Farmhouse, use the cow's Feed window at the barn; Basement has its Sell Hay area. Confirm the Cash increase before returning to a shop.
Rainbow hay sells for more than ordinary hay. Two bags holding the same quantity can therefore produce different sale amounts. Collect nearby rainbow pieces when available and keep gathering ordinary hay otherwise.
Use Cash for the chapter's ordinary tools, bag capacity, and tool attributes. Buying a tool and raising its attributes are separate purchases; the tools guide explains their effects and collection limits. The Farmer's advertised reward is not money received until the game actually pays it.
Pick up exposed Gems separately
As hay disappears, look for exposed Gem objects and interact with them directly. A Vacuum clearing the surrounding hay does not confirm a pickup. In multiplayer, these objects are shared, so another player can collect one first.
Your Gem Value upgrade and paid boosts can change the amount received. In the September 20, 2026 setup, maxed Gem Value with the 2x Gems pass gave 10 Gems per pickup. That is a boosted example, not the base value for every account.
Prospector's chance bonus also used Gem Value under the September rule. Its floating number can combine consecutive bonuses: two rewards of 3 can display 6. That does not make each reward worth 6 or guarantee a bonus on every click.
Prospector does not automatically pick up exposed map Gems. Collect those yourself, or use an equipped Pig, which can automatically pick them up. The pet guide covers its use. Keep map pickups separate from Prospector's direct bonus when reading your earnings.
Try Hard Farmhouse for a Gem-farming run
Try Chapter 1 on Hard with The Chosen One, Ultimate Farmer, or Prospector if you already have one of those classes. The October 1–2, 2026 setup assumes equipment that can keep clearing hay. Hard spawns more hay and Gems, but the extra work can also take longer.
On PC, use a Vacuum or Pitchfork with an autoclicker. With Prospector, stand on top of the haystack and use the Vacuum. Watch a short stretch first: a full bag or stopped tool can leave the setup idle. Return to collect exposed Gems and complete the Needle handoff; repeated clicks do not handle those tasks for you.
The field's Gem spawning limit could stop new objects in the September 17 version. Reaching that limit does not prove that the Needle has appeared or been found. Prospector's instant bonus does not count toward the naturally spawned Gem cap under the October 2 clarification.
Compare Gems received per minute with your own class, upgrades, boosts, and pet. Include collection and handoff time. Ranch also requires parts, repairs, and a Boss fight, so a larger chapter payout may still be slower to earn.
Finish the chapter before counting its reward
Finding the objective and receiving a chapter reward are separate steps. Equip a found Needle and give it to the Farmer; in Basement, continue through the escape tasks after obtaining the Key. The Needle guide explains the Farmhouse handoff.
Read the completion result and the Gems credited. Under the September 2026 Farmhouse rule, the Gems and Win were kept after handing in the Needle and starting the ending cutscene, without waiting through the entire scene. Leaving before the handoff does not award completion.
A new Index discovery also awarded Gems automatically under the September rule. That reward is separate from the chapter payout and the Hay Crown for completing the Index. Check the named entry; finding a duplicate does not establish another discovery reward.
Claim eligible lobby rewards
Arcade minigames in the lobby can award Gems. Include their playing time when comparing them with chapter farming.
Free Reward
Open FREE REWARD and follow the requirements shown. If it asks you to like the game and join its linked group, do both, then select Claim. These are conditions for one offer, not two separate payouts.
If the claim fails, check the unmet requirement or displayed result. Joining an unrelated group will not satisfy the game's group requirement. These conditions do not establish requirements for every code.
Daily rewards
Open Rewards, find the day or position available, and select Claim. Confirm the reward and the track's new state. On your next visit, check eligibility again; rejoining alone does not establish another payout.
Codes
Open Codes, enter the complete string, and use Redeem. Read the result and the resource or boost awarded. The Codes guide lists the entries and explains redemption results. Count rewards that your account receives, rather than the advertised amount of a failed or already-used code.
Spend Gems on the item you intend to use
A class roll gives a random result. Inspect both the class received and the one selected before rolling again. Keep enough Gems for another purchase you intend to make instead of assuming the next roll will produce a particular class.
Buying a pet does not equip it. After purchase, use Equip and check that it follows you or works in the chapter. Its levels and accessories can cost more.
For a Gems stat upgrade, read the effect and any permanent label, then check the upgrade after buying. A Gems price alone does not make every purchase permanent: the ordinary Drone bought during a round was temporary under the September 30, 2026 rule. Certain classes supplied their own Drone, while the lobby's permanent Robux option was a separate offer.
A Gem bundle bought with Robux adds the bundle's Gems. The September 2026 2x Gems product applied to collecting Gems rather than doubling the chapter-completion payout. Read the current product's scope before buying; a 2x label does not establish that daily rewards, codes, and every other award double.
Chroma Coins and the Chroma Chest
Complete rounds to earn Chroma Coins. As of October 2, 2026, the reward was 100–750, with the same minimum and maximum on Normal and Hard. Time spent in the round affected the amount; Hard alone did not guarantee 750.
For a team of four, try fast Normal runs. For solo play, try Hard Chapter 1 with the collection setup above, return for the Gems, and hand in the Needle. These October 2 routes depend on your party and equipment. Compare Chroma Coins per minute separately from Gems; a longer round can pay more coins per completion without being faster overall.
The event's rainbow-colored coins were used to roll its limited-time crate under the September 27 rule. Open the Chroma offer, read its current coin cost, and select the opening you can afford. Check the result afterward. Gems from a chest are a possible reward, rather than a fixed coin-to-Gems exchange.
The October 2 lobby also offered a free gift of three Chroma Chests. If that offer is available, select Claim, then open CHROMA CHEST and use the available opening option. After claiming three unopened boxes, the button showed Open X3. The displayed pool included Gem rewards, Chroma tool skins, and Rainbow Shaggy; the gift itself did not guarantee a particular result.
Alien Coins and other event balances
During the September 2026 Alien event, completed games awarded Alien Coins for Alien Chest openings. That chest could return Gems, but its old prices and rewards are not a conversion rate for Chroma Coins.
The old Alien skins were no longer available on September 25. Read the current chest's named pool before spending; a Clan or Chroma chest does not establish that those skins have returned.
Clan Tokens have their own balance and quest conditions. Use the Clan panel to check the qualifying task and reward. Likewise, a balance left from an earlier event does not establish that a new event shop accepts it.
