Find your symptom below, check the matching bag count, heat bar, or task counter, and compare it again after the suggested action.
The Farmhouse and Basement walkthrough checks cover Normal play, with a separate historical Hard Basement haystack fault below. The Ranch combat example uses a Permanent Vacuum setup. The spawn and mobile driving suggestions are historical checks for the specific Ranch symptoms described below.
For short answers about chapters, tools, and rewards, see the FAQ.
| Symptom | Check first |
|---|---|
| Hay stops entering your bag | Your bag count and limit, then Vacuum heat if you are using it. |
| Hold seems to have done nothing | The selected tool's Hold upgrade and the action you are testing. |
| Basement progress stops | Which door or exit blocks you, the puzzle counter, and whether you have the Key. |
| A Ranch part will not attach | Whether you actually picked it up and whether a repair panel is still open. |
| Ranch does not end after repair | Final Repair status, then the Boss, car key, and departure route. |
Removed from the map-selection queue
If the message says you took too long to pick a map, rejoin the queue and choose an available chapter and mode promptly. Record the actual message if you were removed for a different reason. A map-selection timeout does not explain every connection failure.
Walking through the lobby Farmhouse wall
The missing collision was described as a known issue on September 10, 2026, without a confirmed repair date. If you encounter it now, record the lobby location and report the current behavior. It is separate from the chapter's normal search and departure route.
Hay stops entering your bag
Look at your bag count first. With Hand or Pitchfork, reaching the displayed limit can stop further collection. Go to Feed at the Farmhouse cow, or your map's hay-selling area, and sell the hay you are carrying. Check that the bag count drops and Cash increases. Return to reachable hay and test collection again.
If collection resumes, the full bag explains that pause. If the bag has room and collecting still does nothing, note the selected tool and any visible prompt, then check tool heat if you are using a Vacuum.
With a Vacuum, check whether it has overheated. Under the September 2026 cooling rule, stopping before overheating does not start the cooldown. Once it overheats, let it cool; you can sell hay or use another tool you own during that pause. When it is usable again, restart collection and check that hay enters the bag. Cooling reduces the recovery time, while Runtime lets you collect longer before overheating. Neither increases bag capacity.
Hold did not change capacity, or you still have to click
Hold changes how you operate the tool. It allows continuous collection or swinging when you hold its collection input. Bag capacity is a separate upgrade, so the same bag limit after buying Hold is expected.
Check which tool you have equipped. In Farmhouse on PC, press Tab to open the upgrade screen and select that tool. Hand and Pitchfork have their own Hold upgrades. Buying Hand Hold does not buy Pitchfork Hold for you.
On PC, test by holding the collection mouse button while aiming at reachable hay, with room in your bag. Continuing to collect without a new click each time is the change to look for. If you switch tools, check the new tool's Hold before treating single-click behavior as a fault.
The Drone seems idle after buying it
Check whether you have deployed the Drone at the haystack. If it is still in your inventory, select it and place it at the pile using its game interaction. Watch it collect.
Follow one collection and selling trip before judging its output. The Drone has its own load and Capacity. Your character's bag limit does not describe how much the Drone can carry.
If it is collecting small amounts and making selling trips, it is working. Look at its current upgrades when deciding whether to improve that rate. Compare its load with its own displayed Capacity, since another player's upgraded Drone may carry a different amount.
Dynamite's camera shake is distracting
The September 6, 2026 version had no camera-shake setting for Dynamite. Check your current menu for the option. If it is still absent, describe the unwanted camera movement in a feature suggestion rather than expecting a tool upgrade to remove it.
Farmhouse looks cleared, but you still cannot find the Needle
Check the exposed ground and thin remaining hay before continuing to clear everything around the outside. Change your viewing angle where a small object could be hidden behind remaining strands. The area can look nearly empty while an object is still easy to overlook.
Pause at anything that might be the Needle and actually pick it up before deciding what you found. A Gem pickup is a separate item. The Needle-found message, including the instruction to equip it and take it to the Farmer, tells you to move to the handoff.
If you already have the Needle, equip it and use Give at the Farmer. His response confirms the handoff. If you only picked up a Gem or left the object behind, return to that exposed area and keep searching. The needle search guide covers these checks in more detail.
You can find the Needle before clearing the whole stack. Keep checking your own exposed areas; its location is not a fixed corner to copy from another run. A glow in another player's screenshot is not a reliable way to identify every Needle.
Try walking through the middle of the pile when judging what remains. Under the September 27, 2026 behavior, remaining hay could hold your character above the floor. Reaching the floor helps you inspect the area, but it does not supply an exact collection count or confirm a Needle pickup.
The Hard Basement haystack stops changing
A Hard Basement fault was confirmed on September 16, 2026, after reports that the haystack stayed unchanged despite continued Dynamite use and maxed upgrades.
First check the selected tool and bag state using the collection checks above. If the pile remains unchanged, record the chapter and mode, tool, collection count, and an image of the pile for a bug report. Those details help distinguish this symptom from a full bag or an overlooked Key.
The Basement's DO NOT ENTER door stays closed
Follow each colored wire along the floor to its lever and make sure you have actually pulled all three. Finding the Basement Key does not open the puzzle-room door.
Check behind objects that can hide a lever. The red wire ends behind the Sell Hay sign near the cart. The green lever is in the box corner behind the haystack; the purple one is in the Upgrade Bag / Drone corner.
Once all three levers are pulled, the DO NOT ENTER door opens. You can then check the unfinished puzzles inside. If you need a longer route to the landmarks, use the Basement walkthrough.
A Basement puzzle looks solved but has not counted
Look at Solve Puzzles before and after an attempt. An increase shows that the game counted that puzzle. At 1/3 or 2/3, focus on the remaining puzzle instead of changing one already completed.
If the puzzle display is completely black, report that display state before trying to correct tile orientation. A September 19, 2026 report described a black puzzle on entry; its author confirmed on September 27 that it still happened. Include an image of the panel, your device, and the Solve Puzzles count.
For the picture, compare each tile with its part of the small reference image. Check orientation, especially the inner pieces. Two lines touching across an edge can still belong to tiles facing the wrong way. Rotate only the pieces that differ from the reference and check the counter again.
For the crystals, count the hanging crystals on the walls and near the ceiling. Use the crystal on each pedestal to identify its color. Count one color around the room, compare that total with its displayed number, then check the next color. Include high corners and avoid counting the same hanging crystal twice.
If the displayed number is too low, click it once at a time until it matches your recorded total. Each click adds one. Once all three numbers match, look for the solved indicator turning green and Solve Puzzles increasing.
If a displayed crystal number is higher than your confirmed count, click that same pedestal once at a time through 5 and back to 0, then continue to the target. The recorded interface cycles rather than needing a restart. Watch the display after each click and leave matching colors alone. On acceptance, the crystals float up, the indicator turns green and Solve Puzzles increases.
For the keypad, use all four digits from a numbered paper on the floor in your current run. An X paper is not the code, and the crystal totals are for their own pedestals. Write down the digits in order while the paper is displayed.
If the submitted entry turns red and the counter does not change, return to the numbered paper and compare all four digits in order. Reopen the keypad and check its display before entering the corrected sequence. In the recorded retry at 11:39, the reopened panel showed ----; the player then entered the current paper’s 4813, clicked the green check and reached 3/3. The rejected 5831 came from the wall’s example, so use your own paper instead of copying that number.
The Basement lasers remain, or 3/3 still does not let you leave
If the lasers are still blocking the exit, check whether Solve Puzzles has reached 3/3. Finish the remaining puzzle and inspect the exit again.
With all three puzzles completed, check the other escape requirement: the Basement Key from the haystack. If you have not found it, return to the hay search. You can finish the puzzles before finding the Key.
With the Key found and the lasers gone, check your equipped item. Select the Basement Key if you are still holding a collection tool, then climb the exit ladder and leave through the trapdoor.
A Ranch part appeared, but you cannot install it
Check whether you actually picked up the part. A part-appeared message can show up while the object is still in the hay. If you left it behind, search the area you just exposed and take it. Once you have the part, carry it back to the crashed UFO.
Interact with the ship and look for Part attached! If you still have a repair panel open, finish the task on it. The parts objective and Repair the UFO are separate: a parts count can advance while Repair remains unfinished.
The UFO is repaired, but Ranch has not ended
Check that Find Parts is 7/7 and the final Repair state is 1/1. "The UFO is repaired!" confirms the completed repair. The next stage is the Hay Golem fight.
Defeat the Boss, pick up the car key, and sit in the driver's seat. Follow the route arrows to the departure cutscene.
If a map edge blocks the car, return to the marked route. The Ranch walkthrough covers the repair and departure sequence, with combat shown using a Permanent Vacuum setup.
Vacuum attacks do zero damage, or Break Free interrupts the fight
For the Permanent Vacuum combat example, check the current target or weak-point marker when attacks stop reducing the Boss's health. Wait for the next open target and aim at it. Check the Vacuum's heat as well, since a tool needing to cool cannot continue the same attack.
There was a separate Ranch launch fault on September 27, 2026: some Golems would not move or take damage. If the normal target and heat checks fail, record the Boss state and report the fault; the launch reports do not confirm a current fix.
Keep moving to avoid attacks while waiting. A fall in the Boss's health confirms that the attack is working.
If the Golem grabs you, watch Break Free and read the letter currently displayed. Wait until the moving ring is inside the green zone, then click or press that displayed letter once. The prompt explicitly offers both inputs in the recorded PC run.
Read each new letter and time its ring separately. A successful GOOD! or PERFECT! fills a progress dot in the recorded attempt. Continue until YOU’RE FREE! appears and the prompt disappears, then move away from danger and resume attacking the current weak point. The example takes three successful cues; follow your own on-screen progress.
Too early means the input came before the timing window; Too late! means it came after it. On the next cue, reread the letter and wait for the ring to reach the green zone. Do not spam a memorized F, X, Z sequence. See the recorded escape at 10:30.
The September 27, 2026 launch version used a stun when the Hay Golem grabbed the player. Once you can move again, resume the fight.
Caught at the Ranch UFO, or the mobile truck will not move
Jumping immediately after spawning helped one player who was caught against the Ranch UFO. If you get caught against the UFO as you spawn, try jumping immediately and check whether you can move away from the ship.
For the historical mobile truck issue, first check that you have the car key and are sitting in the driver's seat. The suggested input was the screen joystick. Try it from the driver's seat and watch whether the vehicle moves.
A weekly Trophy is missing
Check the week and leaderboard for the result you expected, then look for an announcement covering that award. Keep a missing leaderboard Trophy separate from Gems, Clan chests, and chapter badges when asking for help.
On September 20, 2026, a weekly reset failed to award some players their Trophies. Eligible players could claim through a server-entry popup: entering a private server was one route, and ordinary servers also worked later that day. For another missing award, include its week, leaderboard result, and claim response instead of assuming the old prompt will appear.
One Spin removes all your Gems
Record the roll price, the balance before and after, and the result shown. A September 17, 2026 report of this symptom was directed to support, without a confirmed cause, restoration step, or refund promise. Read the current ticket options when asking about it.
Progress or data appears to be missing
For a specific September 20, 2026 mobile symptom, items disappeared after leaving Classes. Leaving and rejoining temporarily restored them, but the problem happened again. You can try that check and inspect your tools afterward. If it repeats, record the device, the Classes screen you closed, and what disappeared. This temporary check does not establish a permanent fix or a way to recover every missing save.
Write down which balance, purchase, or progress state is missing and when it last appeared. Include the chapter and device, plus the last action you completed. Check the relevant incident announcement before deciding whether it is only a display problem.
During the September 6, 2026 server outage, an initial display-bug explanation was followed by notice that some players might have lost progress or data. A compensation code was released. A code's reward is separate from restoring an earlier save, so keep the missing state in your report even if you claim compensation.
If the matching check does not help
Record the chapter and device, the objective counts currently shown, and what you tried. Include the relevant bag count or Vacuum heat for a collection problem. For a Ranch part, say whether you picked it up and which repair state remains; for a Basement exit, say whether the lasers are gone and the Key is equipped.
Use the official community links to reach Garage Games' community, then choose the channel for your report below.
For an in-game ban, the September 16, 2026 advice was to contact the administration through support. Include the account and ban message, and read the current ticket options. That advice did not confirm an appeals policy or promise an unban.
In Garage Games' community, use bug-reports for a game fault and suggestions for a feature idea. The support channel has a ticket button for reporting a Discord rulebreaker or a Roblox player. Read its current ticket options before opening a report. For an error in this guide site's text, use the contact page and name the page and step that need correcting.
